PERSONAL ESSAY REQUIREMENT

Please write a one-page essay between 400 and 650 words.

Your essay should be thoughtful, honest, and written in complete sentences. You may organize your essay into paragraphs rather than answering each question separately, but you must clearly address every prompt below.


In your essay, include:

1. Vision & Goals: What are your long-term educational and career goals? Why are these goals important to you?

2. Motivation for Applying: Why do you want to participate in the Shiloh Scholars College Prep Program?

3. Character & Resilience: Describe a challenge you have faced. How did you overcome it, and what did you learn from the experience?

4. Impact on Others: What kind of difference do you hope to make in your community or the world? How will education help you accomplish this?

5. Learning from Mistakes: Describe a failure or mistake that taught you an important lesson. How did it change your attitude, choices, or behavior?


Note: Essays shorter than 400 words or longer than 650 words may not be considered complete.
