We're Putting Our Best Foot Forward
All over America there is a need now more than ever for communities and churches to reach out to help its residents become more productive members of society.
With today’s economy no one organization or agency can meet the demanding needs of our community. Our government recognizes the overwhelming needs of our communities and that many of these problems stem from community based issues. Services ranging from Day Care/After Care to Senior Citizen programs are now being given to the states and local communities to handle. That’s why we are creating Best Foot Forward (BFF), a program that will work to address many of the needs of this community. Over the years, Cleveland has gone through an arduous transitional period and has felt the effects of urban sprawl. Throughout Cleveland and the Hough area, new single homes and condominiums, with affordable mortgages are being constructed. As a result of this effort, many residents are being drawn back to this area, once known as one of the City of Cleveland’s most prestigious residential areas. In building this new temple and starting BFF, we will contribute to the rebirth of this area. The Solution Best Foot Forward (BFF) is an answer to many of the needs of this city and especially our community. Programs like Best Foot Forward (BFF) are just the beginning of services that will be offered to enhance and influence the lives of its residents and local neighborhoods. In addition to being an asset to the community, based on our financial projections, BFF will be a self-supporting operation, and a source of job opportunities and lifestyle enrichment Once the new Shiloh Temple building has been constructed, BFF will operate as a stand-alone business entity. BFF will be located inside of Shiloh Temple and is designed to provide a safe educational and supplemental environment. It will also service multiple communities that are in need of basic life-skill development, while providing community and family awareness. Major Focus Points for Our Community Education – Providing programs designed to help further education and present positive reinforcement for our youth. Programs include tutorials for school classes, G.E.D. preparations and job training skills. Drug and Alcohol Prevention – Stressing the need for prevention and education of its mental and physical effects of family members and innocent victims, working with other groups that help in the recovery process. Teen Pregnancy – Informing our teens of the many dangers associated with pregnancy and the importance of abstinence. Food Kitchen – Assisting those within our neighborhood that rely heavily on a helping hand. The kitchen will help to ensure that nutritional needs are being met. Senior Citizens – Adult care activities for ongoing stimulation, consistent mobility and continued involvement. Best Foot Foward will offer the following services: A full cycle Day Care facility along with After School Tutoring Youth and Young adult counseling The latest computer technology Senior Citizens Activities |
